ANN: Brisbane Functional Group (BFG) September Meeting

The next Brisbane Functional Group (BFG) is meeting on 15th September, with two talks on Scala.

Firstly Kristian Domagala give us an introduction to Scala:

"In this talk, I will give an introduction to the Scala programming language, including basic syntax, language features, and its relation to Java. I will also show how you can use its functional programming capabilities and static type system to improve the quality and maintainability of your code."

Next up, Tom Adams gives us an overview of building a simple web app using sbt, Scalaz 4, Slinky and Scala Query.
